Slavic Review

Slavic Review is ASEEES’ chief publication and the leading scholarly journal in the field. Published four times a year, it features peer-reviewed articles, discussions, and reviews of recent literature that span all academic disciplines and geographic areas within Slavic, East European, and Eurasian studies. As of 2017, Slavic Review is published by Cambridge University Press.

Effective 2017, Slavic Review will be published by Cambridge University Press. Subscribers in the Americas will be handled by their New York office. The Cambridge University Press offers free or discounted subscriptions for institutions in certain developing countries.

1941 Issue – Present

Starting in 2017, all issues of Slavic Review – from 1941 to the current issue – are available on Cambridge Core by subscription. Current ASEEES regular and student members have free access to the entire collection.
Issues of Slavic Review predecessor journals are available on Cambridge Core, accessible from the same page. The following titles are available:

Slavic Review Archive

The Slavic Review archive, from 1941, is available on JSTOR by subscription with a moving wall of 3 years.
For institutions in Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kosovo, Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, check JSTOR’s Developing Nations Access Initiative for access at waived or reduced fee.

Print Issues

Starting with the 2024 volume, Slavic Review will become a digital journal with a new design and digital features. ASEEES members will continue to have access to the current issues, as well as the full run of Slavic Review, on Cambridge Core. A limited number of print copies will be available for an additional charge

Only one claim per issue per subscriber can be honored. We cannot honor claims for issues older than the most recent volumes except in exceptional circumstances.
