The registration period ends a month before the convention in order to allow us time to prepare attendee badges and other materials. After November 5, you must register onsite at the Convention, for an added fee (see below). All convention participants, including paper presenters, panelists, discussants, roundtable participants, and session chairs must preregister (see the complete rules for participation and registration here).
|2018 Convention Registration Fees|
|Register by Sept 7||Register by Nov 5||Register
|Member income under $30K||$53||$58||$73|
|Non-member income under $30K||$73||$78||$93|
Undergraduate students who wish to attend without participating (i.e., are not listed in the program) may register for the convention for $20. Student ID verification will be required. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
You must pre-register by October 26 to have your name listed in the Convention Program Index of Participants. (If you are registering by mail, it must be received on or before October 26.)
All registrants are invited to the opening reception on Thurs, Dec. 6, and an anniversary party on Sat, Dec 8 (both with a cash bar).
All participants - session chairs, discussants, paper presenters and roundtable members - who are Slavic, East European, and Eurasian studies scholars in the US and abroad must be current ASEEES members. If you are not currently a member or have not renewed your membership for the current calendar year, you must do so upon receiving notification of proposal acceptance, which should be announced in late April.
Only scholars and professionals outside the field of Slavic, East European, and Eurasian studies are not required to join ASEEES, but must register for the convention at the non-member rate. Please note that it is cheaper to join at the Affiliate member level than to pay for non-member regular registration fee. Please consider becoming a member. (Learn more about membership in ASEEES)
All participants on panels/roundtables, members and non-members, must preregister and pay the registration fee. Please note that membership dues payment is not the same as registering for the convention.
Exhibitors with an exhibitor badge do not need to register for the convention. If an exhibitor is participating on a panel/roundtable, she or he must notify ASEEES of this status at email@example.com as soon as possible, but no later than October 26 in order to be included in the index of participants.
