As we move the 2020 convention to a virtual platform, we are offering registration rates at 50% of the in-person convention registration rates. All registrants will have access to recorded sessions after the convention.
Please register by October 7 to pay a discounted rate. From October 7 to November 8, you can register at a higher fee. All convention participants, including paper presenters, panelists, discussants, roundtable participants, and session chairs must register by October 7 (see the complete rules for participation and registration here).
Panel/Roundtable Participant Registration Deadline: If you are a panel/roundtable participant, you must pre-register by October 7 to have your name listed in the Convention Program Index of Participants. (If you are registering by mail, it must be received on or before October 7.)
Register and DONATE a Registration: While the expenses for a virtual convention is less than an in-person convention, there are still significant expenses to provide a high-quality virtual convention. Please consider donating by paying at the "register & donate" rate (same as the in-person convention rate) so that we can offer registration waivers to graduate students and those who have been financially impacted by the pandemic. Additionally, we started a Convention Registration Fund where donations will allow attendees who are financially impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic to register.
Registration Waiver Requests: We're offering registration waivers for:
Those financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic - Graduate students, contingent faculty, independent scholars, and those who lost their jobs or were furloughed are especially encouraged to apply - Complete this request form
Graduate students and scholars in Russia (thanks to a grant from the Carnegie Corporation of New York) - Complete this request form
Graduate students presenting papers related to Russian studies (thanks to an external grant and donation) - Complete this request form
All undergraduate students - Complete this request form

COVID-19 Update: The registration rates have been adjusted and is reflected above. If you already registered for the Convention before the announcement of the event going virtual you will be contacted by our Membership Coordinator to go over your registration options.
All participants - session chairs, discussants, paper presenters and roundtable members - who are Slavic, East European, and Eurasian studies scholars in the US and abroad must be current ASEEES members. If you are not currently a member or have not renewed your membership for the current calendar year, you must do so upon receiving notification of proposal acceptance, which should be announced in late April.
Only scholars and professionals outside the field of Slavic, East European, and Eurasian studies are not required to join ASEEES, but must register for the convention at the non-member rate. Please note that it is cheaper to join at the Affiliate member level than to pay for non-member regular registration fee. Please consider becoming a member. (Learn more about membership in ASEEES)
All participants on panels/roundtables, members and non-members, must preregister and pay the registration fee. Please note that membership dues payment is not the same as registering for the convention.
Exhibitors with an exhibitor badge do not need to register for the convention. If an exhibitor is participating on a panel/roundtable, she or he must notify ASEEES of this status at email@example.com as soon as possible, but no later than October 7 in order to be included in the index of participants.
