Kelly served as the ASEEES Convention Program Coordinator for five years before joining ASEEES as Deputy Director and Director of Membership. She previously served as Resident Director in Narva, Estonia for Project Global Officers, an initiative of the Defense Language and National Security Education Office, which funds ROTC students for the study of critical languages. She worked as Administrative Officer for Department of Defense Education Activity in Spangdahlem, Germany and most recently as Deputy Director of the Graduate Initiative in Russian Studies at The Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. Kelly received a BA in Russian/Slavic and East European Studies from West Virginia University, an MA in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies from University of Michigan, and her PhD in the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at University of Pittsburgh.
