Membership
Regular Membership
ASEEES has approximately 3,400 individual members in the U.S. and abroad. Individual members come primarily from the academic community, as well as from the government and private sectors, but membership is open to anyone interested in furthering the scholarly objectives of the Association. Regular Membership dues are scaled to income level.; see the table below for details.
Regular Members can also buy Joint Membership for a spouse or partner. Joint Memberships receive the same benefits as Affiliate Memberships, so they do not receive access to Slavic Review and cannot apply for grants and fellowships.
For scholars whose gross annual income is under $30,000 USD and who permanently reside in Eastern Europe/Eurasia, ASEEES is offering reduced membership dues. To see how to apply view our in-region membership page.

- Slavic Reivew Access
- All Regular Members have online access to Slavic Review, the Association’s scholarly journal, through Cambridge Core, including past issues.
- Access to Slavic Review Predecessor Journals
- Slavonic Yearbook American Series, Slavonic and East European Review American Series, and American Slavic and East European Review are available through Cambridge Core.
- ABSEEES Access
- Online access to the American Bibliography of Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ABSEEES) provided by EBSCO.
- ASEEES Annual Convention
- Members are able to participate in the Annual Convention and register at a reduced rate.
- Career Center
- Access to job postings in the field on the ASEEES Career Center.
- Webinar Archive
- Register for upcoming webinars and programs, or access the webinar archive of past programs.
- Grants and Fellowships
- Apply for ASEEES fellowship, grants, and First Book Subvention.
- Exploring Career Diversity and Mentor Programs
- Participate in the Exploring Career Diversity or ASEEES Mentoring Program as a mentor or mentee.

Institutional Members who prefer to submit the paper membership form and pay their dues by check or credit card can download the membership form and send it in by mail, fax, or email.
