Northwest Regional Conference for Russian, East European and Central Asian Studies

First organized in 1994, the Northwest Regional Conference for Russian, East European and Central Asian Studies (REEECAS NW) is an important annual event for scholars in the Pacific Northwest, with participant and partner universities from across the northwest of the United States and Canada. The conference is organized by the University of Washington's Ellison Center for Russian, East European, and Central Asian Studies, which seeks to promote in-depth interdisciplinary study of the many post-communist subregions. REECAS NW was recognized as a regional affiliate by the ASEEES Board in November 2017.
